Jeffrey M Landry

Jeffrey’s father, Mike Landry, a 30-year Kankakee teacher, inspired his passion for learning, debate, and the law. He credits their early discussions about constitutional law for his unyielding commitment to ensuring clients understand all aspects of their cases. Mr. Landry specializes in personal injury, including victims of automobile accidents and falls on commercial or public property. Since his first jury trial in 1993, Mr. Landry has taken dozens of cases to trial, and settled hundreds more out of court protecting the families of clients with injuries, regardless of severity. He is well recognized for his tenacity through settlement of cases involving catastrophic injury and gross negligence.

From victims of malpractice to police misconduct, Mr. Landry has proven results representing clients with diverse case circumstances. He has represented clients in the Mandatory Arbitration program, private alternative dispute resolution and mediation. Mr. Landry remains active throughout all stages of the case, from negotiation before lawsuit to trial by judge or jury.

Mr. Landry received his juris doctor from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago Kent College of Law in 1991. He completed his undergraduate degree at University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.

From the day Lawrence Kraut finished the classic novel, Anatomy of a Murder, by Robert Traver he was hooked on the law. Since those early years of study, he has demonstrated the highest commitment to the pursuit of just compensation. He specializes in personal injury and workman’s compensation. With partners of River North Law Group, Mr. Kraut has recovered over one hundred million dollars in verdicts and settlements collectively, and protected thousands of injury victims and their families from ruin. Personal injury can deplete family resources and ruin lives. That's why Mr. Kraut remains a tenacious advocate for its victims.

He founded River North Law Group (formerly Lawrence E. Kraut Law) in 1980. Over the course of his career, he has seen a wide array of complex cases, developing extraordinary skill at adapting his approach to fit the details of each case. Mr. Kraut’s broad ranging experience sets him apart. He has worked pro bono with the ACLU, and he was a staff attorney for the Al Franken senatorial recount effort in Minnesota. He approaches every case with fresh eyes for the unique circumstances they present, and he is diligent to pursue every avenue to win.

Mr. Kraut received his juris doctor from John Marshall Law School, and completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. He is a licensed pilot who served for 6 years in the USAF reserves.

When he’s not in the office, he is volunteering time for environmental causes and spending time with his wife, and three daughters.
